• Shawe junior varsity volleyball defeated Switzerland County 25-6, 25-24 at home on Wednesday.

Sylvia Heath was 14-for-15 serving with three aces and four digs for the Hilltoppers, Jamison Williams was 7-for-8 serving with five aces and eight digs, and Gaby Cabrales and Julia Leatherman had three kills each.

Shawe, now 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the Ohio River Valley Conference, traveled to Hauser on Friday and heads to Christian Academy of Madison on Saturday.

• Southwestern junior varsity volleyball defeated Charlestown in three sets on Tuesday.

Jocelyn Johnson had 12 assists, two aces, three digs and a block, Britt Inman had six kills and Kaylee Hite had 13 digs.

Southwestern is now 4-4 on the season.

• Madison jayvee volleyball picked up a 25-18, 16-25, 15-12 win at Greensburg on Thursday.

Juliana Davis had seven kills and 18 digs for the Cubs while Libby Bronkella had seven kills and 10 digs. Audrey Miller was 11-for-11 serving with two aces and 19 assists, and Maya Gordon had 15 digs.

Madison travels to South Ripley on Tuesday.

• Southwestern junior varsity boys tennis picked up three wins over Milan on Thursday.

Talon Wynn won 8-0 in his singles matches while in doubles, Jeremiah Loos and Keegan Rogers won 8-3 and Max Joseph and Wyatt Smitley won 8-1.

• Madison Junior High seventh grade volleyball defeated Southwestern 25-15, 22-25, 15-8 on Wednesday.

Izzy True had 12 aces and five kills, and Hannah Ferguson had four aces and one kill.

Madison, now 4-2, host South Ripley next Wednesday.

• Madison Junior High boys soccer defeated Jennings County 5-2 on Thursday.

William Overpeck with a hat trick with three goals and Charles Schwartz scored twice. Hudson Hall had two assists and Overpeck had an assist. Overpeck and Henry Schmidt were the match MVPs.

• Madison Junior High girls cross country finished second in a meet on Thursday.

Maggie Stivers was sixth overall to lead the Bears, Scout Porter was seventh, Ava Canida eighth, Lydia Horvath ninth, and Rayme Dean 16th.

• Shawe Junior High girls soccer tied Seymour 2-2 on Thursday,

Lucy Wilhelm scored two goals for the Hilltoppers and Justice Kuntz had two assists.

Shawe, now 2-1-1 on the season, faces Greendale on Tuesday.

• Shawe Junior High co-ed soccer defeated Seymour 3-2 on Thursday.

Gus Grote had three goals for the Hilltoppers.
